  1. Pending Testing by X8 and the Admin Team

    StaticMission = underwater.sql

    Number of AI = approx 49+  (includes 12 divers) [sometimes the ai commit suicide when the mission starts] {reduced divers to 6 - due to time to complete mission before restart constraint}

    Number of Ai Vehicles = 7 (1 Pawnee [2] + 4 HMG Speedboats [12] + 1 FV432 Bulldog [2]+ 1 LCU Mk10 [1]) [17]

    There are NO static guns/rocket launchers (doesn't mean they are not carrying launchers :) )

    Rewards = HMG Speedboat ( possibly an unarmed AAV as well ) [you might find some poptabs inside one of the vehicles]

    Lootbox = There is NO lootbox - the mission rewards are the 2 vehicles and looting the bodies on the island. ( The Lootbox still exists but is located in an inaccessible place unless your X8, Dane or Foxeh )

    Mission Name / Marker = STATIC: Finding Nemo

    Number of players = 2 players or more is recommended - but if your a very skilled person and have lots of money and patience then you might be able to solo it.

    Premise = 

    Quote

    "Huskys Pirate gang are hiding their money, vehicles and supplies offshore! Eliminate them and take their stuff!"

    This is a NO vehicle mission except to get to the Island and if you have one a boat/SDV to reach the diver group.

    You may require assistance to complete this mission as you may die underwater and loose all your gear -  only do this mission if you can afford to loose.

    Vehicle Recommendations = 1 Taru + 1 Strider + SDV

    Gear you must take with you to complete the mission = SDAR rifle and ammo (only dual purpose mags) + Diver Gear ( Suit+Rebreather+Goggles) 

    Good Luck and beware of the sharks :)

     

    I have never changed/edited/modified any Arma 3 mission files before so there may be some errors in loot.

     

    EDIT 15th Feb 2019:

    Removed SDV (submersible) ai vehicle.

    Adding Ai vehicles ( not yet in Trader Lists ) =

     

    FV432 Bulldog ( bottom left - GAZALA ) has gun so beware! [Hint: It has commander smoke deployment]

    LCU Mk10 ( mk10 landing craft utitlity - ( vehicle does NOT include a Tank and cannot fight back ) - just something to make things look more interesting :)

     This vehicle is Slowly heading towards the Mission waypoint from Ammolofi Bay on the mainland and should be the first thing you see as you head towards the mission / island. ( I did this to ensure that the mission is working - if you see this LCU and its moving towards the island/mission then all is well and working )

    P.S. The LCU is hard to kill but as there is only 1 ai in the vehicle you may be able to snipe him from the island after you have cleared it otherwise you may need 4 or more Titan Rockets to completely do the job and sink it.

     

    EDIT: 16th Feb 

    Moved divers to shallow water as where they were it is too dark and deep to find them

    They are now located to the west side of the island near a wrecked Trawler [ the LCU will go there so just follow it :) ]

    Moved Reward Vehicles to the same location and moved marker to correspond to the change

     

    EDIT: 20th Feb

    Moved the AAV into the water and raised it higher into the air so that it will not get stuck in the sand when the mission is won.

    Added 6 more divers to the group as they have been found to leave the water and search for players on the island if the player is on foot and within range.

    The Bulldog is not as dangerous as I thought but I wont change it just yet.

    The LCU is a very hard vehicle to destroy so try to kill the pilot/driver instead.

    Added two more patrol boats - hopefully to accompany the LCU.

  2. If you were to look at the front of the website ( https://old-guys-gaming.com/forum/ ) you might see 5/30 today ( Sunday 28th October ) but there is no one online as of making this post - taking a small break.

    The server doesn't show on  ( https://www.gametracker.com/server_info/208.94.244.242:7784 ) but does show here ( https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/ark/2083970?playerCount=RT&serverRank=3M ).

    I am taking a break and playing ARMA 3 on the Altis PVE server as the server needs some TLC as follows:

    There is are too many Pelagornis on the server sitting idle on the ocean surfaces down in the South West area, using the item from Classic Flyers should allow an ingame admin to tweek the numbers.

    The Flyer Totem is an admin-spawnable structure which, once placed anywhere on a server, can be used to monitor the number of CF flyers on a server. If enabled, it can also allow for non-native species of flyers to spawn on any map; see the Spawning Exotic Flyers discussion for more information.

    Much like the Admin Argent, described further below, the Flyer Totem has a radial menu which can be used to monitor the numbers of flyers per species on the server. This option is left open for all players to use so that it may be left as a novelty in public places, if the server owner so wishes.

    Note that while reports for all other species are given separately, the SE wyverns (Fire, Lightning, Poison and Alpha) are all shown simultaneously due to them sharing the same core-game spawners.

    The combination of overspawn of Rock Drake nests and eggs and the Pelagornis overspawn/quantities may be the reason ARK is eating the RAM of the server machine.

    Whilst the server is down now might also be a good time to look at the server day night cycles - currently 30min day and 30 min night with overlap of sunrise and sunset low light levels, was going to ask that the gameusersettings.ini and game.ini be copied and pasted into this thread for reference purposes. 

     

  3. Made a video because I might not be able to talk to Jason or Deadman regarding this due to Time Zone differences :)

    Volume is very low so I dont deafen people - not to worry this video shows the differences between Singleplayer and Server using S+ Roof and Charge Light pet.

    At first I considered it might be due to Mod Load Order in GameUserSettings.ini

    This was not the case however so I am thinking that either there is a Mod that I havent tested or something else.

    EDIT: This only effects Sloped Thatch S+ Roof as wood works as intended - this might be a conflict somewhere.

    health    per level increase

    45000 234

     

    Current server max wild is 240~ therefore the max health of a Wild Reaper might well be (lvl 1 = 45000) + (234x239) = 103266  "going to need a bigger boat" 

    To get a queen to below 2500 will take a lot of hits to get her to the impregnation stage. 103266 - 2500 = 100766 health to be removed.

    Might it be worth having damage display activated?

    Ascendent Pump Shotguns seem to work well or a high health/dmg dino with maybe a Daeodon nearby, as long as you have her in the light of a few Charge Lanterns

    This gives you in 180 minutes (3hr cycle), 160 minutes of daytime & 20 minutes of nighttime.

  7. My previous Chinook i sold and was wondering.

    I recalled X8 mentioning something about keeping this vehicle so I got a Key Code and tried it - and it persisted after restart so I can confirm this vehicle CAN be kept but i think its only 1 of several that can - I wouldnt do it with most other vehicles. 

    If the server had deleted it after restart it would not have been a huge loss.

    I purchased a huron awhile ago and it felt very twitchy compared to this one that feels heavy but more stable - faster than a Taru as well

  8. So decided to have a go at the Chinook Sniper Team Mission - lo and behold it had a Tank on guard so retreated to a safer distance and decided to shoot at them from 2.5km away.

    1 AT rocket took out nearly the whole team - remaining snipers 6 :D

    So 2.5km and had a good view so remained where i was rather than move back to my original spot.

    Took them out 1 at a time.

    Completed the mission and went to see what the loot was - ooh helicopter + hemett + crate = happy

    Got closer and  saw Chinook was stuck in a tree - well i can get that out of there.

  9. Alopex kindly gave me a loot crate ( pallet of boxes ) with concrete walls and other stuff to do my base up with.

    Placed it in Strider drove it back to my base.

    Took it inside and place it on the floor near my other pallets - it bounced knocked over the other pallets and vanished - it may have gone into orbit as far as I know as I cannot find it anywhere inside or outside my base.

  10. Oh i wont give up - i started with nothing so its all gravy :)

    So after last night i logged on this morning to the next installment of Your Base Is Being Attacked whaaaa !

    I had nothing to fight them with but another player on the server came to my rescue and wiped them out - just need more Concrete Walls etc to create a barrier and garage for my vehicles :)

  11. Well I created a new territory - started rebuilding - got raided - died and they blew up my Strider with all my stuff on board sooooooo.

    Back to gathering stuff again I suppose :)

    Purchased another strider drove back to new base - ran them all over B|

    My missing Vodnik resurfaced in the sea so I quickly Sling Loaded it to the new base !

    End of Story.

    Have to scavenge the old base for wooden structures just a short hop across the sea in the new Strider as due to issues at present I dont trust flying much.

    Respawning in military gear :)

    Cannot Halo @ spawn points any ideas ?

I packed my vehicles with all my stuff - and am waiting for admin to help but today one of my vehicles ( Medical Vodnik ) was upside down so after unlocking I flipped it and started to move it and it literally sank into the ground - I hopped out but it sank faster and vanished - tried to find it with Taru Sling Load but it is nowhere near where it was - does it still exist ?
