Legio Mercantores, or the Legion of Merchants, once was once nothing more than a collection of skilled merchants and tradesmen turned refugees by the horrors of the world. When the darks times came they watched as the great houses of their births crumbled to naught but ash, saw their Emperors fall to treason, and witnessed the culture they adored dissolve into discord and squabble. But as it would happen, through a stroke of luck and fortune, in their flight they happened upon a new place to call home, a place to rebuild their culture of old, the island of Leonine.
Their goal was simple now, to rebuild a city of trade and culture that rivaled the places of their birth. With each hammer blow they stride closer to this goal, to build a city to stand the test of time, a city called Spērāmus.
