Heavy armour wont help you much if a rocket takes out the tracks , you are just sitting in a tincan that cant be moved and BOOOM in comes the next rocket and its goodnight and goodbye 500k. I dont know how long you have been playing the server but you will get to end game vehicles and you will be just as annoyed if not more for loosing them, Im speaking from experience Maybe try jumping in with one of the guys as a gunner 4 or 6 eyes see alot more of the combat that is evolving around you which helps to adapt to the situation, like I said you will get there dude and laugh about the past screw ups. Again, try engaging on foot, keep your vehicle at a safe distance(out of sight). If you see the toastie popup( Police group deployed to take care of troublesome prisoner) jump back in your vic, go into thermal take a look around and deal with the threat. If you get a rocket shoved in your face when in a vehicle then you loose everything!! if I get killed on foot there is still a chance I can get my gear back and my vehicle is whole(because I left it safe) that is why I always try to engage on foot and use my vehicles to get around and look for a better position if I have to, I would rather loose the 15k worth of gear on me than the 500k that I am sitting in. As for using two anti-armour weapons, the Lynx is a one shot kill at any range and the Titan Compact I mostly use with AP rounds, if the AI are clumped together then you can take out good portion of the mission with one round. PS I would rather have an ammo bill of 3-7k than replace vehicles 100k plus.

So by your logic its ok to roll into a mission with a Strider with infinate ammo and expect no resistance, get real dude! Missions are fine as they are. Maybe try a differant approach next time Lynx+ compact titan will work well on all missions, get out of your tincan and go foot.

If a Black Market was on map then the vics tend to wander around somewhat. A player could have flown/driven too near and was then followed, seems you were the unlucky one.

Also you were kicked from the server in the hope that a relog would solve the database issue with your profiles.

Hi Flar, there was a problem with the database recognising you as players, you could not be seen on map by players as players , even the Admins could only see you as AI with Admin tools. If you could get on TS then we can sort this out very quickly. I can assure that pvp was not intentional and joining OGG group is at the moment NOT a must!!

Hi, cant tow or be towed? 1-3 m shots mission is completed, indirect fire (need a spotter), slow as hell, really good armour fun as heck to watch ooh cant carry a crate. Lots and lots of ,,,,. 2 million respect seems a fair price

Hi Jamey, That you are annoyed I can understand, nothing worse than having you vehicles deleted. After moving about 40-50 vics out of the trader over the last 5-6 days you get to the point when they just get deleted, there are other tasks for an Admin on server, moving vics about for players that cannot abide by server rules is not one of them. Like I said ingame read the rules abide by the rules and all is ok

There hasnt been a server reset for quite some time and as far as I know (not much) there wont be one happening to soon unless something goes badly wrong with the server. That being said there is a rumour that OGG may be upgrading the server box to a more powerfull one (very nice), maybe the Devs will use this to add some different mods to the game . The Extended base could be added for example when it is bug free which would require a server reset to prevent server crashes. Trouble or one of the other Devs will let the players know in time when and what they decide.

Have the same happening today, running smooth at 45-50 then drops to 10- 15 , thought it could be missions spawning in but never had the problem as bad or often as today .

Hi Trouble Slow downloadspeeds can be a real pain believe me, I live in the country and had to make do with 300-500kb/s for a long time, my solution was D/L overnight. New mods dont all have to be added at the same time it is something that can be done over a period of time, I know you dont like the "W" word so how would it be if after a server "RESET" a new mod could be added every couple of months, It would spread the downloads and give the Devs time to look into each one, could even help to hold players longer if they know that every 2-3 months something new is on the way ? Sounds promising, would help reduce the vehicleparks that put a 3rd world countries military to shame ( also helps server load you guys out there). Lower end vehicles I hope, wouldnt want players calling in middle heavies at missions, just something to get from A>B. Something that woud happen after a "W" ? will have to see how the ZCP work out, did not realise that it was more PvP design, but X said he could work on the crate How would it be if all Armed Helicopters are put on the prestige list after a server "W" ?

Just a quick couple of questions for our Dev Team. Are any of the mods that players have voted for over the last 3-4 months going to be implimented on OGG Arma Servers ? Which Mods if any ? And when? Does the OGG Dev Team have a road map for the Arma servers? Or is it more a look see what happens situation? It may just be me, but all I seem to read are reasons not to use them or they will be put on when somebody has time to do it, this has been going on for 3-4 months now. The Dev Team is not just you Trouble, there are 4 or 5 Devs.

As X8 posted, the AI are badly under gunned atm , giving the players T-72´s etc without giving the AI a hard counter would make the missions to easy. If the AI get them aswell , then it could be a good thing, but be prepared to loose them. A price tag from 1 million tabs or 500,000 respect sounds about right to me.
